The Bolivar brand is named for the great historical figure Simon Bolivar. Bolivar is credited with liberating much of South America from Spanish rule in the early 19th century.

 

 

It is not suprising that the Bolvar brand is perhaps the strongest, most full-bodied cigar made in Cuba. The brand was launched in 1902 by Jose Fernandez Rocha and was made by the family business until nationalization in 1959.

 

To this day Bolivar is still considered to be the most most full flavoured Habano made. The Belicosos Finos Cabinet and Royal Coronas are very enjoyable cigars when one is in the mood for a powerful smoke.
