The Extreme Restaurant glass, whose forms are fundamentally different from all other glasses on the market, is the newest addition to the Riedel Restaurant series. This shape was first developed in 2000 by Georg Riedel. Extreme glasses are named for their extreme contours and have diamond-shaped bowls that angle out dramatically before narrowing at the top. "More and more, people are enjoying new world wines that are very fruit driven in style," says Georg Riedel. "The exceptionally wide evaporation surface of Extreme Restaurant intensifies and enhances silkiness in the mouth of New World wines, balancing the intensity and quality of their flavours."
The Riedel Extreme Restaurant Series takes the same fine quality bowl and adds a slightly thicker stem to withstand the wear and tear of a busy restaurant. They are dishwasher safe.
